What removal involves

A quote that ends at removal leaves you with a bare or damaged ceiling and a second trade to organise, so ask what the ceiling looks like when they leave.
Covering instead
Overboarding a sound textured or tiled ceiling leaves the material undisturbed, produces no hazardous waste and costs less. It is a legitimate answer and it has to be recorded, because the next person to take that ceiling down needs to know what is above the new board.
