About Asbestos Survey Cost

Asbestos Survey Cost is two things joined together. The first is a copy of HSE's own disclosable list of asbestos licence holders, the contractors the Asbestos Licensing Unit has licensed to carry out licensable asbestos work, arranged so you can find the ones registered near you. The second is a set of pages about what asbestos survey and removal work costs and what changes the price, written so a duty holder can read a quote and know which questions it has not answered. The quote form passes an enquiry to contractors and surveyors covering the address.

Why this site exists

This site exists because the two questions a duty holder actually has, what will this cost and who is allowed to do it, are answered almost everywhere by a lead form and nothing else. HSE's licence list is public and nobody had made it easy to read by county, and the cost pages that do exist mostly quote a range with no source and no explanation of what moves it.

What it does not do

No ranking of contractors. The register pages are HSE's list in a readable order, and no payment changes who is on them or where.
No personal-injury, disease or compensation content. That is a different buyer, a regulated legal service, and a subject this site refuses by rule rather than by omission.
No removal or safety instructions. The point of a licensed trade is that the reader does not do the work; HSE's guidance is linked instead.
No invented prices. Where this site prints a number it is a count from the register it holds, with the date it was read.
