What this service is

Asbestos Survey Cost is an introduction service. We pass duty holders' enquiries to independent asbestos contractors and surveyors. We are not an asbestos contractor, we are not a surveying organisation, we do not carry out or supervise asbestos work, and any contract for work is between you and the firm that contacts you. Check a firm's HSE licence, its UKAS accreditation where the work is surveying, and its insurance before you engage it.

How we are paid

Asbestos contractors and surveyors may pay us for qualified enquiries. This never changes what you pay, and no firm can pay to be added to, moved up or removed from the register pages, which are a record of what HSE publishes.

The asbestos licence register

The register pages record the disclosable list of asbestos licence holders that HSE's Asbestos Licensing Unit supplied to CONIAC on the date shown. A contractor's entry here is not our endorsement of it, and a contractor that is not on the list is not thereby a bad contractor: a licence is required for licensable work only, and much asbestos work is not licensable. Sixteen holders whose county HSE leaves blank are placed by the post town in their own registered address, which is our reading and is recorded as ours.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. We work to keep the register pages accurate to the date they were read, and HSE's Asbestos Licensing Unit is the authority; we make no warranty about the outcome of any asbestos work, and a licence is a permission to carry out licensable work rather than a guarantee of workmanship. Nothing here is safety advice: HSE's own guidance is linked on every page that touches the question.
