Examples teach more than templates, because the thing worth copying is the level of detail rather than the headings. A step that says isolate supply is not a step. A step that says who isolates, how the isolation is proved dead, how it is locked, who holds the key and what happens if somebody needs the supply back is a step somebody can follow and a reviewer can accept.
A worked sequence, in outline
Take replacing a light fitting in an occupied office. Arrive and report to the building manager. Agree the working area and cordon it, including the floor below if the ceiling void is open. Confirm the circuit and isolate at the distribution board. Prove dead with an approved voltage indicator, proved on a known source before and after. Lock off and label, key retained by the electrician. Set up the access equipment on a clear, level floor. Remove and replace the fitting. Restore, test, re-energise, check operation. Clear the area, remove the cordon, hand back and record.
Why each of those steps is there
The cordon protects people who are not yours, which is the section 3 duty. Proving dead before and after on a known source is what turns an assumption into a check. Key retention stops somebody else re-energising the circuit while you are working on it. Handing back to a named person closes the loop, so the building manager knows the area is normal again.

Isolation, proving dead, lock-off and key control, in that order and with names. Plus the test instrument and its calibration, the safe working procedure if any part of the work must be done live and why that is justified, and the arrangements for restoring supply. An electrical method statement that does not describe proving dead has omitted the step the whole procedure exists for.
How to use an example without copying it
Read it for the grain of detail, then write your own sequence for your own job at that grain. Copying an example wholesale reproduces its assumptions about the site, and those assumptions are exactly what a reviewer checks. The value of the example is that it shows you how specific specific means.
